Tote withdraws his name…wish Cansler would do the same

Tote and Cansler agreed that Tote’s federal tax issues had become too much of a distraction.  Too much for Tote to run the division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Maybe Cansler should re-think his position as Director of DHHS (in the same light of Tote’s decision to step down).

Since Cansler took the helm as Director, controversy after controversy has reared it’s ugly head all pointing at Cansler’s inability to manage his own house.

Cansler continues to get paid, month after month, from a lobbying firm he founded as 3 of his top five former clients collect no-bid contracts worth 100s of millions of dollars.

Meanwhile, Cansler is cutting PCS services, literally doing away with the project, altogether saying it will save the State millions.  In reality it will not.

My question to Governor Bev Perdue is : at what point will she step in and fire Cansler?  If she waits until he runs Health and Human Services in the ground it will be too late.  Another question for her is: at what point will she stop Cansler from using HHS as his own piggy bank?  Hopefully not until the well runs dry.
