GQ published an article titled “The Lost Girls of Rocky Mount” that focused on the murdered and missing black women in Edgecombe County.  Was it what was needed to push this investigation along?  Or, is it just unnecessary bad PR for Rocky Mount?

The Rocky Mount City Council voted not to have additional public comments on the upcoming budget.  No big deal because they had never calendared additional comments anyway. What is a big deal is Councilwoman Chris Miller (W7) saying “it’s just a formality anyway”.
