Be Careful What You Post on Social Networks: The Facebook Fishbowl: Oakland Tribune

Click on the picture below to read this interesting article in Sunday’s Issue of the Oakland Tribune. Over the past 18 months, I’ve heard stories of people and friends giving out personal information on the internet.  Social sites such as Facebook are different, because the site is built to provide members the ability to post personal information.

Friends you confirm can unknowingly also do harm to you.   And, last but not least, remember that your employer has internet too. Anything, you post can come back to haunt you professionally…even years down the line.

Piracy is also a big issue. If you post a picture or album of yourself on any of these social sites, someone can copy that picture and put it on a sex site.  It’ll look like you did it yourself, even if the name and information is changed.  It could cause you trouble in the end.
