Yep, I’m posting this picture.  After all the rhetoric, after watching tea bagger after tea bagger talk about the “good ol days” and wanting to return to our roots—but never really coming out and saying how far back they’d like to go….I’m posting this picture to remind myself that unless we remember our history, the history of both blacks and whites, we’ll be destined to repeat it.

The tea baggers will tell you Obama has had two years to straighten out America, but we’re still in the same mess as when he was elected.  I beg to differ.  After 8 years of George Bush, 8 years of spending billions of dollars in two wars looking for imaginary weapons of mass destruction, 8 years of young men and women dying not for freedom, but for oil reserves—we now expect Obama to “fix” all of this in two years.  Impossible.

You can’t screw up this badly for 8 years and expect anyone to fix it in 2 years. 

Some may not like this picture, they may call it racist and saying I’m using it inappropriately to twist the real meaning of the tea party and the Republicans who support their agenda.  I say NO. This is a reminder that we need to be realists and understand just what this election is all about.
