I’m not sure why this is fascinating to me…maybe I’m surprised when famous people get “it” right.  Gaga has hit, what I consider, the marketing bull’s-eye for a while now.  She continually tweets to her fans and she (or her handlers)  does a great job of marketing her image and music.

Case in point.  This tweet from a few minutes ago…

As fascinating as this is…I’m really aware that politicians are doing the same thing in their marketing…getting the word out to the masses through social networking…

Sen. Barbara Boxer is just one politician that tweets and facebooks on a regular basis.  (Yes, “facebooks” is  an acceptable word now.)  For good or bad, it seems the election cycle and thus the spin is never quite over.  We, as spectators, are caught in the cycle of never quite knowing when one political wave ends and another begins. 

At some point, we’ll see candidates start running for office 4-6 years ahead of the “official” election.  So, the hits just keep on coming.  Is this “winning”?
