North Carolina House Bill 475. Is This “Really” The Best We Can Do In Raleigh?

Not that speaking English isn’t important, it surely is.  But, all I heard last November was tax cuts and less government, over and over until my ears bled.  My mailbox was inundated with card after card of rhetoric and propaganda all centered around the effort to rid our State of the dysfunctional Democratic machine.

Meanwhile, I’ve seen no significant bill in the House or Senate brought out by our newly elected righteous Republicans that comes close to doing anything much different than the “same ol same ol”.

Now, we have House Bill 475, after much teeth grinding and blood, sweat and tears…an bill that would make English the official language in North Carolina.  Let the bells ring and the balloons go.  This is by far the most significant and and much needed piece of legislation I could thing of.  Thank God for our newly elected!

Yes, I’m sure this one piece of legislation will put food in the mouths of hungry children all around North Carolina…maybe the entire United States.  It sets a path to world peace and may possibly lead to the most elusive cure for cancer.

To our newly elected, I say, ‘please continue to do this good and righteous work.’  It is not in vain.
