New piracy laws come into effect in 2013. All of the major distributors lobbied and worked with congress to pass legislation most ISP’s call “internet police.”
The MPAA invests heavily in legal maneuvers, lobbying efforts, and scare tactics against a host of ISP outlets, torrent sites and the general public. But, according to Torrent Freak, they can’t police their own employees.
Torrent Freak obtained information from You’ve Already Downloaded This and learned that employees from all entertainment companies download illegal songs and moves from the internet. Secondly, they can’t say that they are doing “research” because the movies are adult oriented. So, unless Warner Brothers is selling “Asshole Fever,” I don’t think they have a leg to stand on here.
It’s not just Warner Brothers, but also Sony, 20th Century and basically all of Hollywood according to ScanEye.
