As it turns out, fact checkers are as much prone to inaccuracy as the facts they sometimes check.  Case in point: this report by Snopes.

If you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that there is some bias to this “community patrol” in NYC.  The NYPD has had several complaints by women of color who say they have been harassed and beleaguered by males driving these patrol cars.

It would be a stretch to say that this group tries to enforce Sharia Law brazenly, but they do try to enforce a ‘standard’ consistent to what they believe are their community standards.
