US employers cannot fire people for being gay or transgender, Supreme Court rules 


Despite the gnashing of liberal teeth when Neil Gorsuch was confirmed the SCOTUS voted a resounding 6-3 with the conservative Justice leading the way with his majority opinion.

Justice Neil Gorsuch, one of the two justices on the top court in the land appointed by Donald Trump, authored the majority opinion saying Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act protects gay and lesbian workers from discrimination.

Chief Justice John Roberts joined Mr Gorsuch and the court’s four liberal justices to deal a blow to conservatives who believe forcing employers to keep gay and lesbian workers on their payrolls infringes on religious liberties.
