Rev. Dr. William Barber tried to enter the Wake County School Board meeting minutes ago to read a statement to the school board. He was asked to leave. He refused, saying he could not remain silent on this issue. He was then arrested and handcuffed and transported by ambulance to a Wake County Magistrate.

The real question isn’t about diversity. It’s where are the minority students going to attend school. There are few neighborhood schools for the lower socioeconomic groups in Wake County. I am sure Wake County has a cap on classroom size. Where will the overflow of students attend? Is Wake County prepared to build schools for these children and where will they be built? Does Wake County have the funding to begin these projects ASAP and hire teachers as well? Also, will Enloe become a neighborhood school as well?
